Support
The following sections explain how to configure and use iSite-MS. As with many applications, iSite is designed to be as simple as possible to use, and you may find that you can use the app without having to refer to these instructions at all!
Installation & Configuration
After downloading iSite from the Apple app store, you can launch it by touching the app’s icon on your iPhone. You will be greeted by iSite’s main window, as shown below:

iSite Main View
The main window shows a highlighted injection site, illustrating where today’s injection should be made, as well as a toolbar showing the number of remaining drug doses, and allowing you to make a note or tell the app that an injection has been completed.
Initial Configuration
After starting the app, there are a few options that require setting initially, to configure iSite to your personal preferences. To set these, open the settings panel by touching the ‘i’ in the right hand corner of the screen, and then touch ‘initial settings’ as shown below:

Site Offset:
This option allows you to synchronise the injection sites iSite indicates with your personal injection routine. Changing the site offset rotates the selected injection site on the main view – it should be set such that the site highlighted red on the main window is the same as your personal next injection site. From then on iSite will select a new site every day and will not return to a recently used site until all other sites have been used.
Dose Frequency:
This option dictates how often iSite will prompt you to inject again. At the default setting of one day, you will be prompted with a new injection site each day. By increasing this, you will be reminded less frequently to re-inject – for instance when using bi-daily or even weekly dose drugs.
Site Rotation:
The Horizontal / Vertical site rotation option allows you to set which order injection sites on the main view appear in. Selecting horizontal will cause the sites to alternate across the top of the body first and then across the middle, and across the legs, whereas selecting vertical will rotate sites by alternating downwards and then across as shown in the diagrams below:

General Use
Once you’ve changed the app’s initial settings, you should find that the next site you plan to use is highlighted in bright red on the main view. A bright red circle always indicates the location of the site you should inject at (according to the app) on a particular occasion, and will cycle around the sites on the main view depending on the dose frequency you’ve selected.
When you have successfully performed an injection on a particular date, you have the choice of either hitting ‘done’ to tell iSite you have completed an injection, or touching ‘comment’, which allows you to type in a message to save with the injection log alongside the date/time and site number your dose was at. When you have done this, a green band will cover the buttons to notify you that you have completed your injection for the rest of the day or time interval set. If you are using the ‘doses left’ setting (see below), the indicator on the bottom left of the screen will reduce its value by one.

In addition to the ‘comments’ and ‘done’ button, a ‘Note’ button also allows you to enter miscellaneous information and comments at any time. Entering a note puts a new line in the iSite log file, but does not register as an injection.
Other Options
Emailing Data Logs
iSite keeps a log file of injection times, dates, and comments for later reference. By filling in the ‘email address’ box on the settings page and then touching ‘Email data logs’, you can allow the app to send all your iSite details for viewing on a computer. The application will automatically compose an email for you, and will show it to you as follows:
Pressing ‘send’ on this screen will email the log file.
Undoing Previous Entries
iSite provides a way of deleting the previous injection entry, in case of a mistake. Pressing the ‘Undo Last Entry’ button will look up the last entry on the log file and ask if you want to delete it. Pressing yes will then allow you to re-submit an injection on any occasion.

Dose Stock
iSite can keep track of how many treatment doses you have left, so you know when to stock up. On the main view, a ‘doses left’ indicator can be seen (bottom right) – this counts down whenever a dose is taken on the app, and can be reset when needed by touching the ‘dose stock’ button on the settings panel. The dose stock can then be entered on the keypad, and set by pressing ‘done’.
